Q) What is Haven?
A) Haven is a fictional city, that acts as the setting for the stories that we publish.

Q) Is there a map?
A) Eh, sort of. But you shouldn't need one. We purposely have kept the city nebulous. We want to keep your opportunities totally open to write a great story and minimize the interference.

Q) Are these supposed to be superheroes?
A) Not in the 'Superman' sense that they have been given mystical powers, but more in the Batman-esque sense that these are human beings, that are using whatever skills, and technologies, to flesh out their identities.

Q) Aliens from other planets?
A) A great writer will write a story strong enough that we won't really know.

Q) When do I get my first Story?
A) Your first story is the one currently being featured in the month that you subscribe. Usually, that will be delivered within 24 hours of your successful subscription. Usually when the "City Manager", Bob, gets home from his day job and processes the day's subscriptions.

Q) When do I get my user name and password for the site?
A) Usually, that will be delivered within 24 hours of your successful subscription. Usually when the "City Manager", Bob, gets home from his day job and processes the day's subscriptions.

Q) What if I do not get a particular month's story, or the file won't open?
A) All of the stories are archived on the Site, so you are welcome to log in and read it there. Or, you can contact "City Manager" Bob to have a new copy sent to you.

Q) Can I forward the story?
A) No. One of the important things to remember is that the authors, artists, site managers, and staff that made this site all depend of the income generated by subscriptions and sales to keep the site going. Please be mindful and respectful of that work.

Q) Can I write a review of a story on my blog?
A) Yes. Of coarse, please be judicious in quoting passages, out of respect to the author and the service.

The Haven site uses the Brick Cave Media Forums as a central communication rescource for additional Q&A. As questions are posted and answered there, this list will be updated. A free membership is required to post and see the forums.
